Classical Labyrinth

Listed in theWorld-Wide Labyrinth Locator:

Labyrinths have been around for thousands of years and have been found in all cultures and on all continents. They have been used by most religions including Celtic, Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Native American, and some animist religions. They are thought to aid individuals in drawing closer to Spirit. They are also used for mindfulness meditation, seeking answers, prayer, healing, releasing burdens, and receiving peace, comfort, and guidance.

The Labyrinth is a metaphor for our life's journey. All that takes place within the labyrinth walk should be paid attention to as it can be applied to your personal walk through life. This is true for the sounds you hear, the people you pass, the animals you see, the color of the sky, the feeling of the wind on your face, the thoughts that come and go. One popular way to walk the labyrinth is to release your burdens on the way in, receive from your Higher Power in the middle, and return to life on the way out. Many people place a token of gratitude in the inner circle of the Labyrinth such as a crystal, stone, bead, token, button, etc. These can also act as prayer markers and are left in the center to help charge the Labyrinth.

Labyrinth Walks & Medicine Wheel Prayers
We are available for private Labyrinth walks with or without prayers/the hanging of prayer ribbons around the Medicine Wheel. When you arrange a private walk, please indicate whether or not you'd like an introduction to the Labyrinth. You may also request a private Medicine Wheel Prayer ritual with or without a teaching about the medicine wheel/prayer poles. We will have music playing and smudge available so you can cleanse prior to entering the Labyrinth or Medicine Wheel. We also have cornmeal for offerings in the Medicine Wheel. Afterwards, you can hang a prayer ribbon, do some drumming around the medicine wheel, or meditate in our Nubian Pyramid. Water bottles are available by request. Donations are gladly accepted for private Labyrinth walks and Medicine Wheel prayers. If this interests you, please email keasha63@gmail.com.

From time to time, we also hold organized Labyrinth walks where we walk as a group. These are beautiful experiences! Please check back here or watch the Bashique Healing Arts FB page or the Event's Page here for details on community Labyrinth walking events. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, group Labyrinth Walks and Drumming Circles are on hold. However, you may arrange a private walk for yourself or your small group by contacting keasha63@gmail.com
Drumming Circles

According to experts, drumming can have two quite opposite effects on a person. The interesting part is that these effects can happen at the same time and are considered synergistic. Drumming can stir up energy and help an individual process their issues, desire, and of course, help to manifest their intentions. But drumming also releases energy and helps to calm a person. Reuters reports that just 4 minutes of drumming can lower your blood pressure, induce a sense of relaxation, and reduce stress. Drumming is therapeutic. It is healing on many levels. And don't forget,i t is also fun!

We occasionally host drumming circles either around our Medicine Wheel or around our fire pit on colder evenings. Please bring a chair if you can, and of course, a drum or rattle or other instrument. We have extra instruments if you have none. This is an adult only event, however mature teens and well behaved children are welcome. For details on our Drumming Circles, please see the Bashique Healing Arts FB page or the Events page on this website. Drumming Circles are currently paused as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic, but we hope to resume them soon.

Please note that this is not a professional drumming circle. No experience is necessary to join the circle. We will be learning along with everyone else! If you have experience with drum circles which you would like to share with us, please contact us to discuss your possible role in this or future circles. Please consider one or more intention to set for your drumming. You are free to share this intention with the rest of the group, if you desire. This intention might be healing, financial blessings, a sense of community/friends/relationship, anything you might find yourself praying for and about. Drumming is considered in many cultures as a form of prayer. Most of all, let's come together to enjoy one another and grow as a community. Please indicate through email (keasha63@gmail.com) or on the Facebook event if you are interested in a Drumming activity.

When we receive your RSVP to our events, we will message you the address. This is at a private residence, so please be respectful of our neighbors. Observe the 25 mph speed limit on our roads and park in the driveway, not in the street. Due to health issues, we ask that there be no smoking on the property. We will have water bottles available. If you'd like to bring a snack, please feel free to do so. This is a free activity, but we do accept donations for advertising, the upkeep of the medicine wheel and labyrinth, for water bottles, prayer cloths, and other expenses.
Medicine Wheel and Prayer Poles
Our Native American four direction prayer poles are up and ready to accept prayer requests. The concept is that the prayers are placed on the poles in the proper direction for the spirits of that area to hear the prayers as well as the Great Spirit. The feathers and the winds lifts the prayers to heaven.

If you want to have your prayers represented, either place a prayer ribbon on the pole in person, or send a 2 inch wide by about 38-42 inch long cloth ribbon with your prayer or the person you are praying for written on it. Indicate in a separate note which direction you'd like it placed. If you don't know, tell us the prayer request and/or the birth date month of the one being prayed for and we will decide for you.
If you would like us to place one of our ribbons with your request on it, or you would like the address where to send your completed ribbon, or would like to arrange a private prayer time in the medicine wheel, please also let us know by contacting keasha63@gmail.com.

This is a free service, though we do accept financial donations toward the maintenance of the medicine wheel and labyrinth, the prayer cloths used at events, water bottles, printed materials, and advertising, as well as offerings to place in and around the medicine wheel or labyrinth such as beads, gems, feathers, herbs, shells, etc.

Nubian Pyramid

Nubian Pyramids are pyramids that were built by the rulers of the ancient Kushite kingdoms in the area of the Nile valley known as Nubia, which lies within present day Sudan. The slope of the Nubian pyramids (72 degree angle) differ from the Giza pyramids which are found in Egypt (51.5 degree angle).
Many different experiments have been doing using these pyramids. It was found that the Nubian pyramids are up to 20 times more powerful than the Giza pyramids. The Giza pyramids resonate with the heart chakra, so they have a gentle energy. The Nubian pyramids resonate with the throat and 3rd eye chakras and have a stronger energy.

The Russians took a special interest in the Nubian pyramids and have constructed of over twenty large pyramids in 8 different locations in Russia and the Ukraine in order to conduct research. This research has included studies in medicine, ecology, agriculture, physics, and health sciences. Some of their findings show that within the Nubian pyramids immune systems of organisms improved; regeneration of tissue increased 30-100%; tissue culture tests showed an increase in survival of Cellular tissue after infection by viruses; and bacteria radioactive substances decreased their level of radiation inside the pyramid.
A study was done on 5000 prisoners who ingested salt and pepper that had been exposed to the pyramid energy field. The test subjects exhibited a greatly reduced violence rate and overall behavior was much improved.
Other reported findings include increased intuition and clarity of mind; relief from pain and inflammation; improved vision and hearing; better sleep; deep relaxation in body and mind; increased vitality; decrease stress; and clearing of toxins and negative energies. Seeds and plants grow well near pyramids. Animals, domesticated and undomesticated, are drawn to spend time inside the pyramids, creating healing and peace for them too.

How to do Pyramid Meditation:
Sit comfortable in the Nubian Pyramid which is purposely facing toward compass North. Make sure to remove the presence of any gadgets except maybe a device to play soothing music while you meditate inside the pyramid. Remove any metal objects such as belts with large buckles or watches as their absorbing properties may also cause a reverse effect. An odor-free environment is best as fragrances may interfere with the energy. If you would like you may gaze upon the sitting Buddha which is across from the pyramid, or the angel which is just off to the left. Start your meditation by exhaling and inhaling deeply and pay attention to your breath while you do so.  Sit as long as you would like in this meditative or prayer state.
