Vesuvianite, also known as Idocrase, is a rare a silicate mineral most often presenting as a green or aqua-green stone, but can also be found as brown, yellow, purple or blue. Vesuvianite is named after Mt. Vesuvius in Italy, the famous volcano where it was originally discovered. The American version of Vesuvianite, a dark grass-green stone found in California is also known as "California jade," "American jade," or "Californite."
Vesuvianite resonates with the heart chakra. It is known to release feels of restraint, dissolve anger and alleviate fear and negativity. It helps to create a sense of inner security and self-confidence, opens the mind and stimulates inventiveness, curiosity, and creativity. Vesuvianite helps get rid of depression, clears negative thought patterns so that the mind can function more clearly, dispels fears, and alleviates unwarranted guilt. It restores joy, peacefulness, gentleness, unconditional love and self love. It is said to aide in the assimilation of nutrients from food, strengthen tooth enamel and the sense of smell. You will receive one Vesuvianite which is size L, M, or S. The large are between 1 and 1 1/4 inches. The medium between 3/4 and 1 inch. The small are between 1/2-3/4". Each stone varies in size, shape, and color, but I will pick the best specimen available in the size that you choose. All stones are cleansed and Reiki charged before sending, unless otherwise noted by the customer. Each order will come with a decorative bag.
