White Leopard Skin Jasper is a rare type of jasper which has markings that resemble those on a leopard, with a wonderful combination of black, gray, pink, orange and peachy cream colored background with prominent white and grey orbs. Jasper, in fact, gets its name from the Greek word iaspi, which means "spotted stone." White Leopard Skin Jasper is a silicon dioxide with various inclusions that create the unique and desirable orbicular patterns. Jaspers in general are varieties of the quartz family that may contain up to 20 percent foreign materials or inclusions, including organic material, fossils, and mineral oxides. This White Leopard Skin Jasper originated in China.
