Shungite is a black, lustrous, non-crystalline mineral-like substance that does not demonstrate crystallinity. It consists of between 86-98 percent carbon with the remaining percentage made up of minerals such as iron oxide and magnesium oxide. It was first discovered in a deposit near Shunga village, in Karelia, Russia, from where it gets its name.
Shungite is a powerful stone which is primarily associated with the root chakra, though it is touted to clear and align all chakras and aura levels. It has been called the "Miracle Stone" and the "Stone of Life." Shungite has been used commercially in Russia as a means of water purification and for its wellness benefits. This stone is said to assist in spiritual evolution, growth and transformation. Shungite is used to restore emotional balance, shield the wearer from negative energies of all kinds, help remove negative energies and thoughts and shield from harmful electromagnetic frequencies (EMFs). You will receive one piece of tumbled Shungite. You may choose between regular tumbled Shungite and "Chunky." The small pieces are between 1/2-3/4 inches, the medium are between 3/4 and 1" and the Large are slightly over 1" in length. The chunky variety are much thicker than the regular, weigh more, and are larger overall but still measure within the size ranges. These are natural stones, so they differ in shape, width, perfection, and shine. You will not necessarily receive the specimens pictured as these are just an example of the inventory, but I will choose the best stone available at the time that you order. Each will be Reiki charged and come with a decorative bag.
