Petrified Wood did not start out as a stone, it is actual wood that has transitioned into stone by the process of permineralization. Through this process the remains of the wood has been covered with fine silicon sediment after the death of the organic material. What results is the form of the wood (such as the rings or the bark) but with the hardness between feldspar and crystal (6.5 - 7 on the Mohs scale).
Petrified Wood corresponds with the Root and the Sacral Chakras. It is an incredible grounding stone. It is said to help with past life issues as well as working with the Akashic Records. Petrified Wood is useful for memory issues, dementia and Alzheimer's Disease. It is also helpful to learn from past mistakes. It's also a great stone for history majors, especially those interested in Ancient History. Petrified Wood has been used for spinal issues, as well as any bone or joint issue. You will receive either a large or XL Petrified Wood Palm stone. The large range from 2" to 2.3" in length by 1.5 to 1.6" in width and they average 2.4-3.1 ounces in weight. The XL range from 2.3" to 2.6" in length and 1.7 inches to 2 inches in width and average 3.5-4.5 ounces in weight. These are natural stones so they vary in size, shape, and color and there might be some slight imperfections. I will choose the best specimen available for you at the time of your order. Colors vary from red, to yellow, to shades of brown, but most have a mixture of two or more colors. Each stone will be cleansed and Reiki charged and each order will include a small gift bag.
