Hematite is the mineral form of iron oxide. It is the oldest known iron oxide mineral that has ever formed on earth, and is widespread in rocks and soils. It is bright and shiny metallic gray with high polish. Although Hematite may contain a very slight magnetic charge, "Magnetic Hematite" is not actually Hematite but rather is a man-made stone which looks like Hematite but usually has some rainbow effects and/or magnetically clings to other "Magnetic Hematite" stones.
Metaphysically, Hematite resonates with the root chakra and is a very protective and grounding stone. Hematite is said to absorb negative energy and to protect against EMFs and geopathic stress. It is said to calm the user in times of stress or worry, to strengthen self-confidence, and to provide a feeling of safety and security. You will receive your choice of 1 small, medium, large or extra large grade A Hematite tumbled stones; S, M, L or XL grade B Lightly tumbled stones, or a flatter/thinner stone which is either grade A or grade B. The small are 1/2-3/4", medium range between 3/4-1" and the large are 1" or over. The XL are at least 1 1/2" long and heavier and wider than the other stones. Grade B stones are less tumbled, closer to raw and have more natural pits, indents, and raw areas. Because these are natural stones, the size and shape may vary but I will choose the best quality stone available for you at the time of your order. You will most likely not receive the exact stone pictured in the main photo as this is an example of our inventory. With each order, you will receive a small gift bag. All stones are cleansed and Reiki-charged.
